Update on Murder of SPC Jorge Estrada
I was telling our Operations Officer, Major D. tonight at dinner that he was the type of soldier that if every one in the unit was like him, a leader would never have any problems. Major D. responded that if one tenth of your soldiers were like him, that would still be the case. He made everyone around him better, just by example, and without fanfare or flamboyance. He was the consummate quiet professional. He never complained, usually because he was too busy cracking jokes while getting the job done. These are the kind of troops I really like. They get the job done and don't cause any problems. The Kind of guy you could give a task and truly not have to worry about it getting completed. These are some of the better compliments leaders can give to troopers.

Iraq veteran shot to death in apartment complex
Police say Fabian Cayetano Urrea, 19, of Mead Valley, fired the fatal shots and then fled in a 1997 white Nissan pickup with a California license plate number 7J26810. The truck has dark tinted windows and damage to the left front bumper.I hope the police catches the guy before Major K does.
According to Superior Court records, Judge Michael Hider issued a $550,000 warrant Thursday afternoon for Urrea's arrest on one count of murder. Urrea is described as having a shaved head and about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 145 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Authorities ask that anyone with information about Urrea's whereabouts call 911 or the Murrieta Police Department at (951) 696-3615.
Or just hold him for me until I get home....This just continues to disgust me. America has lost a good man.
